What are the differences between sanded and unsanded grout?

Sanded grout is recommended for grout joints 1/8" to 5/8". Sanded grout is a cement based grout that contains sand and is not recommended to be used with tiles that are likely to be scratched. Unsanded grout is also a cement based grout and is recommended for smaller grout joints, 1/16" to 1/8". Sanded and unsanded grouts are suitable for both interior and exterior application, can be used for the floor and wall, and requires a sealer. Click here to view our selection of grout.
