What is double loaded tile?

Doubled Loaded tile has two different raw materials pressed together during production to allow for the tile to have similar characteristics as a through body tile. The base of the tile is a normal body color (usually white) and the top 3mm of the tile has a colored material to give the surface color and character. Most of the time there is no design on a double loaded tile. If the chip on the tile is less than the depth of the top layer, the chip is not noticeable.
