Baby thresholds are used when meeting up to a vertical surface such as a sliding door, French door or fireplace where a transition to a different flooring is not needed. The baby threshold acts as a cover for the expansion gaps of the flooring boards and to provide a clean visual look that doesn’t obstruct any horizontal doors or visual lines.
All baseboards and baseboard trims are sold by the linear foot in 8-foot increments and come in 16-foot pieces. As a service to you, your baseboards are cut in the store at the time of your order. There is a minimum of an 8-foot purchase required.
